FRANK
Frank creates a unique soundscape in the transition from noise to music. In 2023, he has arranged his new improv set with hints of melodies, sporadic rhythms and sound structures formed by a variety of analogue sound samples. These are integrated into the digital signals of a no-input mixer. Another element is the Super Resonator. This is a resonator guitar modified by Michael Danner. Driven by a motor, the strings are set into permanent vibration and generate a endless sustain. This leads to a radical change in the sound and handling of the instrument. Collaborations with with the @pafgens, „Dizzy Moon“ @maryzblue, @beltership, ICNISP @marina_cyrino / @matthiaskoole, Rieko Okuda and Ida Schuften Juhl @knackere_d have influenced his music with elements of DIY instruments, experimental arrangements, sound art and noise.

It was the first time that the new instrument, the Super Resonator saw the stage lights. (built by Michael Danner @dumpytart) It is still a work in progress to integrate this new instrument into my set. It’s great fun to work on it. There are still many possibilities to discover.
