OE2Iceland Vol. II | Back in Berlin

picture
These eleven days full of wicked music, suprising impressions, recreation, and new impulses were above and beyond all our expectations. This has been made possible by the honest warmth, unrestricted hospitality and splendit creativity of the people who have supported us: Steinnun, Isak, Flyðra, Curver, Sólveig, Margrét, Kenneth, Jónbi, Harpa, Steinunn, Orri. Þakka þér kærlega fyrir!
We’d like to thank all of the bands (all mentioned below) we have met, listen to and recorded during our stay in Iceland. You brought a fantastic mix of diversity to us!
The venues supporting the OE2Iceland recordings were: Hlemmur Square, Dillion, and a secret spot. Their frankness and sense of improvisition backed us under even confusingly recording conditions.

Anywhere, All the Time | Reykjavík 07.05.2015

A Permanent Soundtrack to Your Life by Jasmine Guffond

Here, the app is used by Orange ’Ear in Reykjavík on a walk down Laugavegur.

„Anywhere, All the Time – a permanent soundtrack to your life, is an application for android devices that sonifies WI-FI and GPS networks, providing a sonic presence to phenomena that usually lies beyond human perception. Intersecting with the social, technological and political convergences within modern society, a society on the move – one walks through the city intercepting these wireless global infrastructures, the sonification of which, creates a compositional mapping within our everyday environments“.

OE2iceland zu Gast in Susanns Show | 19.11.2014
